Although there are different opinions on what the ideal temperature should be for a reef tank, most hobbyists agree somewhere between 78°-82° Fahrenheit is best. In the summer, keeping your tank within that ideal temperature range becomes more challenging.
This month we've teamed with the good folks at Up Aqua and Hydra Aquatics to help you beat the summer heat. If you sign-up for our email newsletter during the months of July and August, you'll be entered to win 1 of 3 great prize packs.
- 1st Prize: UP Aqua 4-Row Flexible Aquarium Cooling Fan + Hydra Hang-on Glass Thermometer
- 2nd Prize: UP Aqua 2-Row Flexible Aquarium Cooling Fan + Hydra Hang-on Glass Thermometer
- 3rd Prize: UP Aqua Small Aquarium Cooling Fan + Hydra Hang-on Glass Thermometer
Not every hobbyist can afford to run their AC all day, let alone the expense of adding a chiller to their system. And many of us don't need a chiller anyway when a simple fan (or 4) will do the job.
There is no purchase necessary to enter the giveaway, but there are a few rules. To be eligible, you'll need to be a US resident 18 years of age or older and sign up for our newsletter by August 31, 2011. We'll contact 3 potential winners via email September 1.
Click here to see recent samples of our newsletter. We generally only send emails on Fridays, but occasionally we'll squeeze another in if there is something downright awesome to share.
