Nero 3 by Aqua Illumination, front view
The new smaller brother of the popular Nero 5 promises to be a big seller

Aquatic tech company AquaIllumination release the latest addition to their product portfolio this week, the Nero 3. At nearly half the size of its bigger brother the Nero 5 reefkeepers will be impressed by the tiny footprint of the 3, tiny 20-watt max power consumption, but large 2000gph maximum output.

The Nero 3 shares the same design and features as the Nero 5 including four flow modes, 15-degree angle adjustment, and scheduling features via the myAI app. But being physically smaller it may quickly become the wave pump of choice for discerning nano reef owners as well as one of the most feature-packed, competitively priced flow pump options for small to medium-sized reef tanks too.

The Nero 3 comes with a free fish guard and magnets that will stick to glass up to half an inch thick. AI fans will no doubt be quick to pair the Prime16HD and Nero 3 for dual app control, great looks, price, and performance, and we’ll bring you more information on actual dimensions as it's released later this week.
